Sam Vesty will lead out a Leicester Tigers XI in their annual 20/20 cricket match at Rothley Park on Sunday, July 6.
Now in its fifth year, the cricket  challenge at Rothley Park will see the Tigers XI up against a Matt Hampson Trust XI captained by former Tigers player Austin Healey.

Austin says he is determined to win this year after defeat 12 months ago and says: “We have already obtained the services of big hitters Martin Johnson and Gerry Taggart and intend to call up a selection of well-known professional cricketers from around the Midlands to add weight to the side.”

The match is a 2pm start, weather permitting, at Rothley Park Cricket Club in Westfield Lane, Rothley. Gates open at 12.30pm. Admission £5, free for children under 13. Pay on the day. Free car-parking is available and there will be a bouncy castle, slides, barbeque and bar.

Proceeds this year will be shared between the Matt Hampson Trust and the development of junior cricket at Rothley Park Cricket Club.
