How would you like to line up in opposition to Leicester Tigers stars Harry Ellis, Jordan Crane, Aaron Mauger and Sam Vesty – and help the Matt Hampson Trust at the same time?
The annual cricket challenge at Rothley Park CC between a Leicester Tigers XI and a Matt Hampson XI has been re-arranged for Friday, July 25 (5pm start) after rain washed out the original proposed fixture on July 6.

Organisers are auctioning a place in the Matt Hampson XI, with the winning bidder able to take the field alongside Leicestershire sporting stars including Austin Healey, Leon Lloyd, Steve Booth, Gerry Taggart, Matt Elliott, Muzzy Izzet and Paul Ramsey.

Vesty, who played at Under-19 and Seconds level for Leicestershire before concentrating on his rugby career, will lead the Tigers XI.

Now in its fifth year, the cricket challenge is at Rothley Park Cricket Club in Westfield Lane, Rothley. Gates open at 4pm for a 5pm start.

Admission is £5, children under-13 free. Pay on the day. Free car-parking is available and there will attractions for all the family, including bouncy castle, slides, barbeque and bar.

Proceeds will be shared between the Matt Hampson Trust and the development of junior cricket at Rothley Park Cricket Club.

For information and to bid for a place in the Matt Hampson XI, log on to the Rothley Park CC website at www.rothleyparkcc.co.uk
