We do not hold open trials for entry into the academy. The majority of our players join the academy through our Elite Player Development Groups. These are satellite academies based at four locations throughout our region. The centres work with players from U15 to U17 age groups, who have demonstrated the potential to become future Leicester Tigers and England players.

We recognise that some players develop later than others and so we sometimes offer players the opportunity to trial with us during pre-season or for a few sessions mid-season. However, the standards within the academy are very high with the majority of our players having represented their country at one level or another.
If you are looking for a club to join then we suggest you contact Jenna Studley, the RFU Rugby Development Officer for Leicestershire. Jenna has links with all the clubs in our area and should be able to recommend a club that suits your playing abilities.
