What are Coaching Clinics?

The Tigers coaching team are pleased to offer an exclusive match day experience for groups of young players of all abilities. Specialist coaching clinics are now available for squads from clubs & schools to visit Tigers and receive a coaching master class from our top Academy & Community Coaches. With the increased capacity delivered with the new Caterpillar Stand the community team will be looking to utilize not only the great facilities in Oadby at the Tigers training ground Oval Park and are proud to be able to add facilities closer to Welford Road linking up with the sports facilities at Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth College. This extra facility will allow groups from Clubs & Schools to come to Leicester receive coaching sessions from our top coaches and get behind the scenes of the greatest club set up in Europe.

Once the training session has finished there's a chance to meet and chat to a Tigers first team player. Groups will move on to Welford Road to have a team photo on the pitch, followed by a lap of honour and then completing the day by watching a first team Tigers fixture. With now two venue options to choose from there are more places avaliable and demand being high, places are limited and only available to young players aged 8-18 according to the RFU continuum as the clinic is contact based. Each participating player will receive a Tigers Coaching Clinic T-shirt as a memento of their day at Tigers.

Coach Education

The day will also provide a focus and development opportunity for coaches who will work with the Tigers Coaches and have a special coach education meeting after the session with the senior coach of the day.
