What are Matchday Coaching Clinics?
The Tigers coaching team are pleased to offer an exclusive match day experience for groups of players of all abilities. Specialist coaching clinics are now available for squads from clubs & schools to visit Tigers and receive a coaching master class from our top Academy & Community Coaches. With the increased capacity delivered with the new Caterpillar Stand the community team will be looking to utilize not only the great facilities in Oadby at the Tigers training ground Oval Park but also facilities closer to Welford Road linking up with the sports facilities at Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth 1 College. This extra facility will allow groups from Clubs & Schools to come to Leicester receive coaching sessions from our top coaches and get behind the scenes of the greatest club set up in Europe.
Once the training session has finished there's a chance to (at both venues) to meet and chat to a Tigers first team player. Oval Park visitors get the added bonus of a tour behind the scenes of the Oval Park Gym and training complex whilst WQE1 visitors have access for the rest of the day to the Mark Lounge at Welford Road. At half time all groups are invited onto the Welford Road pitch for a lap of honour and a group photograph before completing the day by watching the second half of their chosen first team Tigers fixture. With two venue options to choose from there are more places avaliable but if last season is anything to go by demand will be high and places are limited. As well as all the details above each participating player will receive a Tigers Coaching Clinic T-shirt as a memento of their day at Tigers.
Coach Education
The day can also provide a focus and development opportunity for coaches who will work with the Tigers Coaches and have a special coach education meeting after the session with the senior coach of the day.
