The Prima Tiger Cup sponsored by Prima Solutions of Loughborough is a free contact based tournament open to all under 10's clubs. The tournament is based in 5 regions:
- Warwickshire & the West Midlands
- Nottingham
- Lincolnshire & Derbyshire
- Staffordshire, Leicestershire, and Norfolk
- Suffolk & Cambridgeshire
In each area there is a festival to then establish who will be visiting Welford Road to play the quarter finals and the hopefully visit us again to play the semi-final and final.
Clubs are invited to participate in a local regional festival, usually held in October or November. The festival winners are invited to represent their region in the knockout stages held at Welford Road as a curtain raiser to a Tigers 1st XV game. Attracting on average over entries each season the Prima Tiger Cup is one of the largest and most prestigious single age group competitions in the rugby calendar.
This year's top tournament for any under 10's player is no doubt the Prima Tiger Cup - now in its 15th year. Teams from at least 10 counties take part in local festivals to find qualifiers for the quarter final stages to be played at Welford Road before a Tigers home game.

Silhillians and Market Harborough Under-10s have commissioned a new kit for their Prima Tiger Cup final at the world famous home of Leicester Tigers this weekend.
Both teams will be cheered on by around 300 supporters at Welford Road on Saturday when they are both aiming to win the prestigious competition for the first time. They face each at the 24,000-capacity Welford Road before English champions Tigers take on Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership.
And under-10s team manager Garry Lucas says Silhillians have secured sponsorship from Oldbury-based construction contractors M-Tec Building Ltd for a new kit for the occasion.
"The boys will be playing in new playing shirts for the final, which we think will go down well with Tigers supporters," he said.
"We have gone for the Tigers tradition of having letters on the back instead of numbers. We have kept the club colours but have a Tigers theme running through them. "
The Prima Tiger Cup is supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions and is a contact-based tournament open to all under-10s teams.
Silhillians and Harborough have seen off the challenge of more than 50 teams from across the country to reach the final.
Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: "The Prima Tiger Cup has gone from strength to strength over the years. We are delighted that so many teams enter from such a large area.
"The standard improves every year and Silhillians and Harborough should take great pride in getting this far.
"We look forward to welcoming them and their supporters and hope they enjoy their day with Leicester Tigers."
There were four teams left in contension to lift the Prima Tiger Cup these include Wymondham RFC, Stratford RFC, Lutterworth RFC and Burton RFC. All these teams played extremely well and congratulations to Stratford RFC who won the Prima Tiger Cup title down at Welford Road.
Season 2007/2008 saw Oakham, Silhillians, Coalville, Market Harborough, Nottingham, Southwold, Stoke on Trent and Stamford qualify for the quarter-final knockout stages. From these eight clubs, Oakham, Silhillians, Nottingham and Stoke battled through to the semi-finals and on Saturday 19th of April before the Guinness Premiership game between the Tigers and Bristol, Nottingham played Oakham in the final of the Prima Tiger Cup.
The final was a keenly contested game and as throughout the competition the standard of play was of the highest order. Both teams were a credit to their clubs. Nottingham were this seasons worthy winners by four tries to two.
