The Prima Tiger Cup sponsored by Prima Solutions of Loughborough is a free contact based tournament open to all under 10's clubs. The tournament takes part over 4 festivals covering the Tigers Academy Region and beyond:

• Warwickshire & the West Midlands
• Nottingham
• Lincolnshire & Derbyshire
• Staffordshire & Leicestershire
• Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridgeshire

In each area there is a festival to then establish who will be visiting Welford Road to play the quarter finals and the hopefully visit us again to play the semi-final and final.

Clubs are invited to participate in a local regional festival, usually held in October or November. The festival winners are invited to represent their region in the knockout stages held at Welford Road as a curtain raiser to a Tigers 1st XV game. Attracting on average over 50 entries each season the Prima Tiger Cup is one of the largest and most prestigious single age group competitions in the rugby calendar.

Bury St. Edmunds U10s are the Prima Tiger Cup Champions after beating Melbourne U10s in a fantastic final at Welford Road

Cheered on by hundreds of supporters, Bury and Melbourne from Derbyshire battled out a thrilling final in pouring rain which the Suffolk side won 1-0 with a second-half try.

Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: "It was a fantastic final which could have gone either way.

"The standard of skills, commitment and sportsmanship was a credit to both clubs and they should be congratulated on producing an excellent game in what were difficult conditions."

Now in its 18th year, Prima Tiger Cup is an under-10s contact tournament which is supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions. It began with a series of regional festivals in the autumn with more than 50 teams taking part.
