What is Tigers Tots?
The Tigers Tots programme is now in full flow, running across three different Leicestershire venues each week with hopeful plans to expand even further. The Leicester Tigers community coaching team visit Welford Road, Charnwood Leisure Centre (Loughborough) and Market Harborough Leisure Centre to deliver a fun and exciting family-focused programme.
Tiger Tots is a specially designed rugby-themed programme for 2-4 year olds. At the heart of grass-roots development, this programme aims to develop fundamental movement, introduce basic rugby skills, whilst also boosting self-esteem and confidence in a fun and interactive environment. Across each 6-week programme, participants take part in a full range of exciting games and also get the opportunity to complete our "try", "kicking" and "obstacle course" challenges, giving each child the opportunity to build on their achievements from programme to programme.
Concluding with a visit from our furry mascot - Welford or a player, all Tiger Tots are presented with a certificate at the end of each 6-week programme. Tiger Tots provides children with the opportunity to meet, interact and make new friends and will also help children develop and enhance their self-esteem and confidence both as an individual and within a group setting.
Each session will last 60 minutes and will take place once a week and will be priced at £6.00 per session. The initial joining fee for our Tiger Tots programme is priced at £12.00, you will also receive:
• Tiger Tots T-shirt
• Tigers water bottle
• Free membership to the Junior Tigers Club and the Crusha Cru
