Howard wary of fellow Aussie

Pat Howard has identified fellow Australian Shane Drahm as the Worcester Warriors dangerman ahead of Saturday's Guinness Premiership clash at Welford Road (kick-off 3pm). Tigers go in search of their third straight league win as they look to climb the table.

Worcester are still looking for their first win of the league season and Tigers enjoyed a convincing 35-20 victory over the Warriors in the EDF Energy Cup last month. But Tigers head coach Howard said: "I expect Worcester to be stronger this time than they were in the EDF Energy Cup game. Shane Drahm at fly-half makes a significant difference and I'm not just saying that because he's Australian!

"In the game against Gloucester recently, Drahm had a hand in all three of the tries that Worcester scored. We will have to deal with him as best we can.

"Worcester are struggling to a certain extent in the league but they have had some reasonable performances and we know that when the pressure comes on teams really stand up. They will rise to the occasion and if we go in lightly we will be in trouble. If we go in and play to our best we should win."

Howard will announce his team on Friday after final checks on the injury situation, though he will be without Ollie Smith who injured knee ligaments in the Heineken Cup win over Cardiff Blues last weekend. Martin Corry leads a six-strong Tigers contingent who are on international duty with England, but Marcos Ayerza and Martin Castrogiovanni are available before they join up with Argentina and Italy respectively.
