Wasps make changes

London Wasps welcome back England winger Paul Sackey and Irish scrum-half Eoin Reddan for the Guinness Premiership encounter with Leicester Tigers on Sunday.

Sackey, who started the autumn internationals with a try for England against New Zealand, has been released by the national squad for this weekend, while Reddan has returned from duty with Ireland A. Both go straight into the Wasps side for Sunday's clash at Adams Park.

Alistair McKenzie makes his first Premiership start of the season, filling the loosehead prop role, while George Skivington comes into the second row alongside Simon Shaw because Richard Birkett is ruled out after being concussed at Gloucester last week. Captain Lawrence Dallaglio is joined in the back row by James Haskell and England hopeful Tom Rees, with Jonny O'Connor now on the bench. In the backline, Edd Thrower moves to full-back in the absence of Mark Van Gisbergen.

Wasps, like Tigers, have six players in the England 22 for the final autumn international against South Africa on Saturday, and they also have to go into the game without France captain Raphael Ibanez and Dan Leo of the Pacific Islanders.

Director of rugby Ian McGeechan told the club website: "I always look forward to playing against Leicester. Although both sides will be operating this weekend without some significant players, we are still going head to head in the Premiership. That remains a big and competitive stage and, of course, it gives a big opportunity to the younger players to show what they can do in that environment."
