The Leicester Tigers skipper wins his 48th cap in the Investec Challenge match against South Africa at Twickenham and said: "The team didn't perform against Argentina, we all know that and the crowd's reaction reflected it. To be booed at Twickenham hurt massively, but Twickenham crowds judge the England team on its performance, and that is the way it should be.
"As a squad, we were very angry and frustrated after the Argentina game and the day or two after the match when we were on our own were very lonely times. But the moment we got back together we started looking forward to playing against South Africa. Being an international player is about channelling all those emotions and using them to give your best possible performance on the day.
"We know that all the fans were disappointed after the Argentina game, but I can assure them that no-one was hurting more than the players in the dressing room. Come tomorrow, we have a chance to put some of that right and we know that the fans that come to Twickenham and those watching it at home will judge us on that performance.
"For the team and for me personally there's no doubt that this is a massive challenge, probably the biggest ever. But I've never been one to shirk a challenge and I'm not going to start now."
Corry lines up alongside Leicester clubmates George Chuter, Julian White and Ben Kay in England's starting XV against the Springboks, with Andy Goode and Lewis Moody on the bench. Kick-off at Twickenham is at 2.30pm.
