Tuilagi starts at Tykes

Henry Tuilagi returns from injury to make a starting appearance for Leicester Tigers Development XV in their trip to face Leeds Tykes in the Guinness A League this evening.

With a dozen senior players away on international duty, and head coach Pat Howard preparing for a Guinness Premiership clash away to London Wasps this weekend, Tigers take a young side to Chandos Park, Leeds (7pm kick-off).

Matt Cornwell is the most experienced player in the backline, and is named as captain and fly-half, while Tuilagi is the only forward with any first-team experience.

The Samoan has not played since injuring a hamstring in the Guinness Premiership trip to Bath back on September 9.

Leicester started the season with a 55-12 win over Leeds at Welford Road and sit on top of the Guinness A League Northern Conference table after winning their opening four games. The second half of the season, however, includes four away fixtures and only two at home, against Worcester on Monday, November 27 and Sale Sharks in April.

Tykes have recorded victories over Sale and Newcastle in their last two A League outings.
