Tigers' autumn internationals

Leicester's England internationals ended the autumn international period by cheering on their club colleagues to a crucial Guinness Premiership win against London Wasps on Sunday afternoon.

"I've spoken to them all and most of them were here today," said Tigers head coach Pat Howard after a 19-13 win at Adams Park. "And it was nice of Andy Goode, Martin Corry and Ben Kay to come to the dressing room after the game."

Just 24 hours earlier, all three had been involved in the final Investec Challenge match of the season with England.

Corry earned his 49th cap, with Goode starting for only the third time and Kay coming off the bench early in the second half for his 44th appearance for his country in the 25-14 defeat by South Africa. Julian White started in the England front row, with Lewis Moody coming off the bench in the 49th minute and George Chuter replacing Lee Mears for the last 23 minutes.

Also on the final international weekend of the autumn, James Hamilton earned his second cap for Scotland after a late call-up into the squad for the match against Australia. He came off the bench in the 68th minute as the Scots were beaten 44-15.

Martin Castrogiovanni got on the scoresheet for Italy as they beat Canada 41-6. The prop started among the replacements, but joined the action after 51 minutes and added the Azzurri's fifth try of the afternoon.

Seru Rabeni was also among the scorers as the Pacific Islanders lost 61-17 to Ireland yesterday. The Fijian scored after 12 minutes and teammate Alesana Tuilagi went close to joining him on the scoresheet as he had a touchdown disallowed following a forward pass. Tuilagi played 37 minutes of the second half after being selected among the replacements.

Prop Marcos Ayerza played the last 20 minutes of Argentina's 27-26 defeat by France.
