Places are still available for Tigers' second course at Swaffham, starting on Monday July 31. This course will focus on the older age-group of 12 - 18 year old players and will take place under the guidance of ex-Tigers captain and former first team head coach, Ian (Dosser) Smith.
During the same week, Tigers senior academy coach, Mike Penistone, will be heading up a second course at Paviors RFC in Nottingham, which will be open to players between the ages of eight and 16.
The courses provide a great opportunity for us to assess the young players within the region. Matt Cornwell, England U-21 captain and Leicester first team player, attended one such course not too long ago and joined Tigers shortly after.
Each player attending a course will receive a full week's training and coaching with the Tigers community coaching team, working with some of Tigers' top academy coaches, as well as past players.
Players will also receive an exclusive Leicester Tigers rugby ball, t-shirt & drinks bottle, along with other Tigers memorabilia. A healthy hot lunch is provided, and as with all Tigers activities, you can expect to be tested to the max in a fun and safe environment.
