George Ford, Niall Morris and Billy Twelvetrees have been nominated for the first Goldsmiths Player of the Month award of the new season.

Shortlisted for the IRB Junior Player of the Year after helping England to the final of this summer’s Junior World Championship, 18-year-old Ford has settled quickly into life in the Aviva Premiership. Ford made his first league start on the opening day of the season, scoring a drop-goal, and played a key role in Billy Twelvetrees’ second try at London Wasps.

Twelvetrees is the leading points scorer so far in this season’s Aviva Premiership with 36 points. He scored all 29 points at London Wasps with two tries, two conversions and five penalties – the biggest tally in Tigers' history when only one player has been on the scoresheet.

A summer signing from Leinster, Morris made an eye-catching Aviva Premiership debut and announced his arrival to the Welford Road crowd with two tries against Exeter Chiefs on the opening day.

The Tigers player of the month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.

Supporters can vote for their player of the month on the Goldsmiths website by clicking here and have until Friday, October 7 to cast their vote.
