Sam Farman and her husband Glyn from Kirby Frith in Leicester were thrilled when they won £100 of John Lewis vouchers with their Leicester Tigers programme on Saturday.
They bought the lucky programme which featured a special ticket on the John Lewis advert page, confirming they had won £100 in John Lewis vouchers.
Sam said: “It was brilliant, we never thought we would win because these things never seem to happen to us, so it was a fantastic surprise.”
Tigers supporter Sam said she’d first become aware of the John Lewis competition from the previous matchday programme but couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the winning sticker.
Helen Fairhead, marketing and PR co-ordinator at John Lewis Leicester, asked how she would be spending the prize money and Sam said she was hoping to spend it on Nintendo Wii games having just bought a Wii Fit board.
