England international Anthony Allen and England Saxon Matt Smith are due to drop in at next week’s course at Leicester Forest RFC, where they will pass on expert tips and take part in a question and answer session.
The Leicester Forest RFC camp runs from Monday (October 17) to Friday (October 21) and places are still available.
Ben Woods and Lee Robinson will join young players on Tigers Rugby Course being held at Lindum Sports Club in partnership with Lincoln Minster School from October 24-28. Places are still available.
Woods, the Tigers and England Saxons flanker who scored Tigers’ only try in the 2009 Heineken Cup Final, will talk about life as a professional player and take part in a question and answer session. He will be joined by team-mate Robinson, a winger who joined Tigers from Bristol last summer and represented the Barbarians in 2006 and 2007.
Matt Williams, Tigers senior rugby development officer, said: “Our coaching courses aim to give young players the chance to learn the skills and techniques to improve their game.
“A visit from a player is always popular and adds to the enjoyment of the week."
Tigers Rugby Courses are supported by energy efficiency specialists Mark Group and offer coaching in all aspects of the game under the watchful eyes of head coaches including former Tigers captain Ian 'Dosser' Smith, double European Cup winner Glenn Gelderbloom and former Tigers hooker Troy Thacker.
"We are developing the programme all of the time, keeping it fresh and relevant to what's happening in the Tigers Academy to make sure that the very latest ideas and techniques at the top of the game are filtered down," says Williams.
Every player who attends the course will receive a free ticket to a Tigers first-team game at Welford Road. They will also receive a Tigers Rugby Course T-shirt, rugby ball and drinks bottle.
