Leicester Tigers are looking forward to another excellent day of rugby when Stoke RFC host the last of the regional Prima Tiger Cup festivals this weekend.

Ten under-10s teams will take part in Sunday’s festival when the line-up for the quarter-finals of this season’s competition will be completed.

Stoke RFC will host the festival with the opportunity of running out at Welford Road for the knockout stages on offer to the teams taking part.

Stoke will be joined by Burton, Congleton, Derby, Leek, Lichfield, Stafford, Stourbridge, Tamworth and Trentham for Sunday’s festival.

The teams will be aiming to join Bury St Edmunds, Kesteven, Melbourne, holders Oakham, Silhillians, Syston and West Norfolk, who have already booked their quarter-final spots.

The quarter-finals will be played at Welford Road before Tigers take on Clermont Auvergne in the Heineken Cup on December 17.

Now in its 18th season, the Prima Tiger Cup is supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions and is open to under-10s teams from across the country with more than 50 clubs entering this year.

“The standard of rugby in this year’s tournament has been superb and we’re really looking forward to another excellent day of rugby,” says Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager. “Thank you to Stoke for hosting the day and good luck to everyone involved.”
