Tigers opened their Heineken Cup season with victory over Aironi in Italy and followed up with a hard-fought 20-9 win over Ulster Rugby.
The next challenge is the back-to-back fixtures against French high-fliers ASM Clermont Auvergne, including a home fixture on Saturday, December 17.
Clermont include five players who reached this year’s World Cup Final with France as well as former Tigers forward Benjamin Kayser and some impressive overseas signings including Welsh full-back Lee Byrne, former Scarlets centre Regan King and Scotland forward Nathan Hines.
Their visit to take on Tigers promises another classic European encounter at Welford Road.
