Clermont have been in the leading positions in the French Top 14 standings all season and include five members of the national squad which reached this year’s Rugby World Cup Final, as well as overseas signings including Lee Byrne and Regan King, and also include former Tigers front-rower Benjamin Kayser in their squad.
With wins in each of their opening two European fixtures, Tigers top Pool 4 ahead of back-to-back fixtures with Clermont, travelling to France a week before the clash on home soil.
