Semi-final place at stake for Development XV

The next action at Welford Road is the Aviva Premiership 'A' League match between Leicester Tigers Developemnt XV and Leeds Carnegie on Monday, January 16 - and there is a semi-final place is at stake.

Tigers are chasing a third successive ‘A’ League title after back-to-back successes in the last two seasons and can qualify for this year’s semi-finals with victory over Northern Conference rivals Leeds.

Paul Burke’s side are third in the northern table but can jump into second place and earn an away semi-final against the Southern Conference winners.

“It’s a massively important game for us,” says Burke. “Getting through the group and reaching the semi-finals was our goal when we started off. If we can get to a semi-final then who knows?”

The Tigers versus Leeds match is a 7.30pm kick-off at Welford Road on Monday, January 16.

Entry to Aviva Premiership Rugby ‘A’ League games at Welford Road is free to on production of your season ticket card. Entry is £5 for all other supporters and £1 juniors. Tickets are available from the ticket office on your way to the game.
