Leicester Tigers Academy host Wales Under-18s at Welford Road this Wednesday evening. Kick-off is at 7.15pm and admission is free to supporters.

Tigers have already scored a 27-15 victory over England Under-18s in an international fixture this season and they will be hoping to attract another sizeable crowd on home soil.

Academy manager Neil McCarthy said: “These games are very important in assessing and helping the development of players through the Academy.

“The England game attracted an excellent crowd to Welford Road and that also plays its part in developing players in a different environment. Playing at Welford Road is a big thing for the guys and we hope we can get as many people as possible down to support them again.

“We have a good relationship with many of the national sides and they enjoy coming here because they know they will get a competitive game.

“Wales have been bringing age-groups for a number of years now and we know they get a lot out of it, just as we do.”

Tigers have a second fixture against England Under-18s at Welford Road in April, while Canada Under-19s are also scheduled opponents later this month at Oval Park.
