Toby and Manu retained by England

Leicester Tigers duo Toby Flood and Manu Tuilagi will remain with England this week in preparation for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations match against Wales at Twickenham.

Fly-half Flood and centre Tuilagi have not played in the opening two rounds of the Championship due to injury but have been retained in a 22-man squad at England’s training base at Pennyhill Park.

They join club colleagues Dan Cole, Tom Croft, Geoff Parling and Ben Youngs in the England squad, but back-rower Thomas Waldrom has been released to rejoin Tigers in preparation for Saturday’s Aviva Premiership match against Newcastle Falcons at Welford Road.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster said: "We've had some difficult selection decisions with players coming back into the equation. We will look forward to meeting again on Wednesday night with our matchday 22 and finalising preparations for the game."
