Wymondham Under-10s are the winners of this season's Prima Tiger Bowl.

The Norfolk side beat Melton Mowbray of Leicestershire in the last four at Welford Road on Saturday to set up a final showdown with Burton, who were winners against Staffordshire neaighbours Tamworth in the other semi-final.

And it was Wymondham who claimed a 3-1 victory to become the third winners of the Prima Tiger Bowl.

The Prima Tiger Bowl was launched last season due to the growth of the Prima Tiger Cup - the national competition for under-10s teams hosted by Tigers and supported by Loughborough-based Prima Solutions.

The games were played before Tigers’ Aviva Premiership game with Newcastle Falcons.

Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: “Congratulations to all of the teams for their part in a great day of Prima Tiger action.

“The games were excellent and played in the right spirit.”

The Prima Tiger Cup takes centre stage at Welford Road next Sunday when Bury St Edmunds from Suffolk take on Derbyshire's Melbourne in the final.
