Price enjoys Under-20s title win

Leicester Tigers Academy lock Tom Price shared in a Six Nations title with England Under-20s.

England beat Ireland 20-9 to retain the trophy and deny their rivals a Grand Slam thanks to tries from Anthony Watson, Dan Robson and Marland Yarde at Adams Park.

Head Coach Rob Hunter’s side got off to a flying start with a first-minute try from wing Watson and never looked back.

England captain Chris Walker said: “It’s an amazing feeling. We were hurting after the game against France last week and we wanted to right a few wrongs, I think that we did that and we’re over the moon with the win.

“Massive respect to Ireland though, they were always within touching distance and we never felt like the game was won, but we worked really hard as a team tonight – the forwards built the platform and the backs finished nicely.

“Dan Robson was brilliant at scrum half, he kept our tempo up throughout, but it would be unfair just to pick him out – it was a squad effort and I’m a proud man tonight.”
