Leicester Hospitals Charity, with the support of charitable trusts, launched the Ourspace Appeal to create a purpose-built cancer unit for children and young people at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
They are working hard to raise money for a cancer unit with dedicated space for children and a Teenage Cancer Trust unit for young people. More than £1million in gifts and pledges have already been raised for the Appeal which is now less than £300,000 away from its target.
Tigers’ guests of honour from Ourspace will deliver the matchball ahead of the match against Worcester Warriors and supporters will be able to buy a wristband or make a donation to the Ourspace collectors around the stadium throughout the evening.
A group of Ourspace supporters are raising sponsorship in the London Marathon next month and they’ll be running a considerably shorter lap of the Tigers pitch at half-time.
