Youngs hearing set for Monday

Ben Youngs will appear before an RFU Disciplinary Panel on Monday, April 2 at the Epsom Downs Holiday Inn.

Leicester Tigers scrum-half Youngs has been cited for striking London Irish No8 Jamie Gibson, contrary to Law 10(4)(a), during the Aviva Premiership match at the Madejski Stadium on March 25 following a report by the match citing officer Wade Dooley.

The disciplinary panel will comprise the RFU Disciplinary Officer, His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett (chair), Peter Budge and Robert Horner.

Maurie Fa'asavalu of Harlequins will attend the same disciplinar session after being cited for a dangerous tackle/dangerous charge on Bath’s Tom Heathcote, contrary to Law 10(4)(e), during the Aviva Premiership match at the Stoop on March 24 following a report by the match citing officer Budge Pountney.
