Leicester Tigers stars joined young players at Leek RFC for a coaching session organised by club sponsors Kerrygold.

Marcos Ayerza, George Ford, George Skivington and Mathew Tait helped with coaching and offered expert tips during a visit on Sunday. They also signed items and posed for photographs with the young Leek players.

It followed a recent visit to Leek RFC by Tait, Kieran Brookes and Niall Morris with QBE, the business insurance specialists who are a sponsor of Premiership Rugby.

Gareth Jones, Leek RFC president, said: “I am sure that all our players and members will remember both visits for a long time.

“The players were a credit to themselves and represented the club in a very positive way. It was great for a small club to see very pleasant and likeable young men representing Tigers and international rugby in such a wonderful manner.”

The visit was organised by Kerrygold, the official sponsor of the Tigers guard of honour, who have their head office in Leek.

More than 150 players and parents from the club will visit Welford Road for Tigers’ final game of the Aviva Premiership season against Bath Rugby when minis and juniors from Leek RFC will form the Kerrygold Guard of Honour.
