Alesana Tuilagi says he has "so many great memories" as he prepares for his last home game in Leicester Tigers colours in the Aviva Premiership semi-final against Saracens this weekend.

The Samoan wing followed older brothers Freddie and Henry into the Tigers first-team and has made 160 appearances for the club since his making debut in September 2004, scoring 62 tries. Next season he has announced he will be playing his club rugby in Japan.

“I have lots of great memories playing for Tigers,” says 31-year-old Alesana.

“One of the biggest memories was the Premiership Final in 2007 when we beat Gloucester, but this has been my home for a long time and I’ve always loved it here.

“The supporters have been great to me. I have a big opportunity for me and my family in Japan next year but right now I am only thinking about Leicester.”

Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “Alesana has been fantastic for us – there are not many like him in world rugby. He's a world-class player and having a guy around like that has been huge for us.”

Tickets for the semi-final are available now from the Tigers ticket office. Kick-off is at 5.30pm. Phone 0844 856 1880, call in at Welford Road or the Club Store in Market Street, Leicester, or book online.
