The Maul to join in Jubilee celebrations

The Maul will some red, white and green to the Queen's Jubilee celebrations at Burghley House near Stamford.

The Leicester Tigers roadshow team have been invited to join the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh for a Jubilee Picnic in the grounds of Burghley House on Wednesday. The picnic is part of the celebrations to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year.

Around 10,000 people have been invited to attend the event, which is being hosted by the Lord Lieutenants of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, and Rutland.

The Maul will be setting up rugby activities including the Speed Pass Challenge and allowing fans to have photos with the LV= Cup, as well as passing on information about the club and the Junior Tigers Club.

The Diamond Jubilee Picnic is the next event on the Maul’s summer tour. The Maul will also be at the Lincolnshire Show on June 20 and 21, The Royal Norfolk show on June 27 and 28 and the Olympic Torch Relay in Leicester on Monday, July 2.
