Show of two halves for the Maul

It was a show of two halves for the Maul at the Lincolnshire Show.

The Leicester Tigers roadshow team joined tens of thousands of visitors for the 128th Lincolnshire Show on Wednesday and Thursday at the Lincolnshire Showground near Lincoln.

It was T-shirt and shorts weather on day one as the sun shone on Tigers mascot Welford and the rest of the team.

However, the sun gave way to heavy rain and mud on day two as the site was deluged with downpours. But the weather failed to spoil the show with the Maul, the Tigers roadshow vehicle, proving a popular attraction.

Visitors of all ages took on the Speedpass Challenge, had their photograph take with the LV= Cup and club mascot Welford and enjoyed a spot of retail therapy at the Tigers Store.

Tigers ran a fitness challenges in the Duckworth Isuzu Countryside Ring and hosted a series of rugby-related games. Hundreds of young fans joined the Junior Tigers Club and took home a goodie bag courtesy of JTC sponsors Crusha.

The Maul will join an estimated 100,000 people at the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday, June 27 and Thursday, June 28 and at the Broughton Astley Carnival in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire on Saturday, June 30.
