The Leicester Tigers roadshow enjoyed two action-packed days among the 100,000 visitors to the Royal Norfolk Show this week.

While storms and flooding hit the club’s home patch in Leicestershire, it was a very different story across at Norfolk.

More than 100,000 visitors came out to enjoy the sunshine, with Tigers welcoming many of them to the club’s activities based on the roadshow vehicle known as The Maul.

Tigers joined the RFU and local youngsters for games of touch rugby, rugby tennis and fit-for-rugby activities, while there was also the chance to flex muscles and take down the inflatable tackle men and for supporters to have their photo taken in the brand new Tigers Maul LV= Cup -photobooth.

The Speed Pass Challenge proved a popular Tigers attraction, with Alex Holdsworth and Harry Jennings emerging as winners and getting their hands on family passes to the club’s opening home fixture of the new season.

Tigers favourites Tom Croft, Toby Flood and Ben Youngs were among the visitors to this year’s show, while 18-year-old England international Ellie Gatlin attended the opening day, taking part in the rugby activities and helping to inspire girls to get into the game.

Welford the mascot was a popular Tigers attraction, meeting supporters as well as enjoying many of the attractions at the Show.

The Maul is on the road throughout the Tigers region throughout the summer. Look out for an appearance near you soon. Click here for more details about The Maul and keep an eye out for updates on the news pages of the club website.
