Leicester Tigers will kick off the new Aviva Premiership season with an away game against newly-promoted London Welsh before hosting Worcester Warriors at Welford Road.

Nine-time champions Tigers will make a first-ever visit to the Kassam Stadium in Oxford on the weekend of Sunday, September 2 (2.00pm) to face Welsh in front of the Sky Sports cameras. The Welsh won the RFU Championship play-off and have replaced Newcastle Falcons in the top flight for 2012/13.

Three of the opening five rounds are at Welford Road with the fixture against Worcester Warriors in Round 2 (September 8) followed by defending Aviva Premiership champions Harlequins and Heineken Cup qualifiers Exeter Chiefs before the end of September.

Kick-off times and dates for Rounds 2-8 will be confirmed with broadcasters and announced next week.

The eagerly-awaited fixtures against Northampton Saints are at Welford Road on November 3 and Franklin’s Gardens in March.

Tigers have a home Christmas fixture against Gloucester on December 29 and the last home game of the regular season is against London Irish on May 4.

Match tickets for home games will go on sale to season ticket holders requiring extra tickets and to members from Wednesday, July 18, with general sales to follow from Wednesday, July 25. Book through the Tigers ticket office by phoning 0844 856 1880 or call in at Welford Road (8.30am-5.00pm weekdays, until 8.00pm Wednesdays and 9.00am-5.00pm Saturdays) or book online.

Tigers season tickets, guaranteeing entry for 17 home games at the price of just 12, are available now. There are categories for adults, 65-plus, young adults/full-time students, juniors, concessions and families. Season tickets for supporters aged under 10 are free if accompanied by a full paying adult. Contact the Tigers ticket office for details.
