Next week (August 6-10) Tigers Rugby Courses are being hosted at Lutterworth RFC and Kesteven RFC, and there is a residential course at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire, running alongside the club’s Academy training camp.
Then Tigers move on to events at Market Harborough RFC and Market Rasen RFC for the week of August 13-17 as players work towards the start of the new rugby season.
Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: "We have been to Bishop Burton College over the last two years and they’ve been a huge success so we were very keen to return again this summer.
"It is fantastic to be there at the same time as the Tigers Academy, and this will really give players on our rugby course a feel of what it would be like to spend a week as an elite rugby player."
Each player on a Tigers Rugby Course receives a full week's training with the Tigers community coaching team alongside some of our top academy coaches.
Places are still available for players aged under-9 to under-16 on the five-day Tigers Rugby Course at Lutterworth and for players aged between 9 and 12 years at Kesteven next week. Kesteven will also host a tag rugby course for younger players for three mornings next week (Monday-Wednesday) catering for under-7s and under-8s.
You can expect the following on a typical Tigers Rugby Course
• Coaching from Tigers top qualified coaches from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
• Hot lunch and drinks each day
• A junior ticket to an allocated Leicester Tigers match in the new season.
• Tigers Rugby Course T-shirt, ball and drinks bottle
• Full-time first aider at all courses
• Free membership to the Junior Tigers Club and the Crusha Cru
Tigers Rugby Courses are supported by energy efficiency specialists Mark Group and are the only courses run by and endorsed by Leicester Tigers.
