Richard Cockerill and Louis Deacon joined directors of rugby and senior players from the 11 other Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs at Twickenham for the launch event on Monday.
The launch was also attended by sponsors and television, radio and press journalists and photographers, and involved a series of photo shoots and interviews for Cockerill and Deacon.
“Pre-season has gone well for us,” said Deacon. “Ulster last week was a good test for us and we have Nottingham at Welford Road this Saturday, which will be another good test going into the opening game of the season against London Welsh, and we’re looking forward to it.”
The day included a presentation for journalists on the new law changes and protocols for the coming season. Aviva Premiership Rugby will trial two significant changes to the game, one involving the Television Match Official and the other a system of Pitch Side Concussion Assessment for players, details of which can be found by clicking here
