Kick off early with JTC and Tigers in the Park

Figure image
Calling all Junior Tigers - there are lots of great reasons to come down early to Welford Road this Saturday.

Tigers in the Park starts at 11am and there is plenty for Junior Tigers Club members to get their teeth into ahead of kick-off against Worcester Warriors at 3pm.

Tigers in the Park is a free family fun day on Nelson Mandela Park, opposite the stadium, with live music, demonstrations and entertainments plus the JTC Sport Park.

JTC Sport Park

The Junior Tigers Club have put together a Sport Park for all children to enjoy at Tigers in the Park.

The Maul, Tigers’ roadshow vehicle, will be there with the speed pass challenge, and the chance to have a photograph taken with the LV= Cup.

There will also be the Matt Hampson speed cage, and Tigers community coaches will be offering coaching and fun rugby games in our Rugby Zone.

Leicestershire and Rutland Golf Partnership will have mini golf and golf nets, so you can practice your swing, and there will be a bike park from Ride Leicester.

There will also be a rodeo surfboard, bouncy castles, sumo suits, table tennis, volleyball and much more, all for free. All the activities on the park will be open from 11am.

VIP Area

The JTC VIP Area will be open in Final Whistle in the Caterpillar Stand from 1pm. Join us for face painting, games, a free Crusha milkshake and much more.

Outside, on the plaza at the front of the Caterpillar Stand, we will have the JTC arts tent, a table tennis table, and the chance for you to try some Paralympics games. And, if you are a new Junior Tigers Club member, you can pick up your JTC goodie bag here.

Matchday Mascot

We will give one lucky Junior Tigers Club member the chance to be our Matchday mascot at every home game during the 2012/13 season.  To be in with a chance of winning this Saturday, JTC members should visit the VIP area and enter their names into a ballot. The winner will be selected at random 30 minutes before kick-off.

Free Tickets

JTC Members also have a chance to win a family ticket to Tigers’ opening home game of the season against Worcester Warriors courtesy of Crusha, the Junior Tiger Club sponsors.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply email club mascot Welford at [email protected] and tell him about something you have done during the summer. Title the email 'A TIGERS FAN'S SUMMER' and end it with your name, age and a contact telephone number for a parent or guardian. Entries must be received by midday on Thursday.

There will be more chances to win family passes to the Worcester game during Tigers in the Park, at the Speed Pass Challenge and the Tigers Fitness Challenge in the Tigers Arena.

Tiger Cub Lap of Honour

Welford is offering the chance for five Tiger Cubs to join him on the pitch for a pre-match lap of honour.
If you are aged between between five and nine and would like the chance to join in the lap – in a fetching Tiger waistcoat – email Welford at [email protected] with your name and photo and contact telephone number by midday on Thursday.

We'll draw the winner at Tigers in the Park at 1.30pm, so make sure you are there with a parent or guardian.
