Around 1,000 Leicester Tigers fans are expected to make the trip to Toulouse this weekend for the club's opening game in this season's Heineken Cup.

Tigers take on Toulouse in a Pool 2 clash in the 35,000-capacity Le Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 4pm local time).

It is a clash of two of the most successful teams in the competition’s history with Toulouse having won a record four titles and five-time finalists Tigers the first club to win back-to-back Heineken Cups.

Richard Cockerill names his team for the game at midday on Friday. Tigers will run out in their traditional red, white and green colours and wear the new carbon and black European jersey for the first time in next week’s Heineken Cup clash with Ospreys at Welford Road. Tickets for the Ospreys fixture are available now from Welford Road, online and on 0844 856 1880.

The current weather forecast for Toulouse on Sunday is bright spells and light showers, maximum daytime temperatures of 18C and minimum night-time temperatures of 11C.

We will be keeping you up-to-date with all of the build-up, the action and the reaction from Toulouse on the Tigers club website, on the @LeicesterTigers Twitter pages, and on the Official Leicester Tigers Facebook pages.
