Stapleford Park near Melton Mowbray provided the setting as Leicester Tigers hosted the club's major sponsors on Tuesday evening.

The evening allowed sponsors to meet many of the club’s senior officials and players as well as enjoying the surroundings of Stapleford Park.

Club chairman Peter Tom was joined by Tigers players Geordan Murphy, Louis Deacon, George Chuter, Marcos Ayerza, Jordan Crane, Julian Salvi, Rob Hawkins, George Ford, Adam Thompstone and Dan Bowden and the coaching team in welcoming representatives of the club’s sponsors.

Peter Tom said: "As a club, Leicester Tigers always aims to be the very best we can be and our sponsors play a big part in that.

“We would not be where we are today without the help of all of our sponsors and we are proud to have such strong relationships with them.”

Director of rugby Richard Cockerill and chief executive Simon Cohen spoke about the ethos of the club and the strength of the set-up in support of the players.

Cockerill said: “We are always up there to be shot at, we know everyone wants to raise their game when they play against Leicester Tigers and we have that pressure to deal with every single week.

“But I tell players if they want to be the very best they can be then our environment is the place to do that.”

Joining main club sponsors Caterpillar and Finning were representatives from Aurum Holdings, Mark Group, GE, Holland & Barrett, Next, Kerrygold, Crusha, Spire, DX Group, Chester Barrie, John Lewis and De Montfort University.
