Bid for historic Leicester Tigers shirt

Figure image
The second batch of Leicester Tigers shirts - including the shirts lettered JTC - are now up for auction in aid of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

Tigers wore an exclusive one-off shirt for the match against the Maori All Blacks featuring the club’s traditional letters rather than numbers and also including a poppy emblem in support of the annual Popp Appeal.

Each player has signed the front and back of his shirt and these are being sold to the highest bidders to benefit the annual appeal.

The first set of shirts – those lettered M-A-O-R-I – were available in the opening auction over the weekend.

Now another five are available:

J worn by George Ford
T worn by Richard Thorpe
C worn by Fraser Balmain

U worn by Sam Harrison
S worn by Michael Noone

The online auction lasts until Friday lunchtime and another batch of shirts will be submitted for auction after that date.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

The auction is being held at Tigers' official ebay site click here to place your bid.
