New shirt auction open in aid of Poppy Appeal

Figure image
You can now bid for another batch of Leicester Tigers shirts in aid of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

Tigers wore an exclusive one-off shirt for the match against the Maori All Blacks featuring the club’s traditional letters rather than numbers and also including a poppy emblem in support of the annual Poppy Appeal.

Each player has signed the front and back of his shirt and these will be sold to the highest bidders to benefit the appeal.

The first set of shirts – those lettered M-A-O-R-I – were available in the opening auction after the game and this week we have also auctioned the shirts carrying the letter C-J-S-T-U.

Now another five are available:

B worn by George Chuter
E worn by Graham Kitchener
H worn by Julian Salvi
N worn by Niall Morris
P worn by Jimmy Stevens

The online auction lasts for three days from Friday afternoon and the final eight shirts will be submitted for auction during next week.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

Thank you to everyone who has bid so far and shown their support for the cause.

The auction is located at Tigers' official ebay site. Click here to place your bid.
