Former Tigers winger Tuilagi and skipper Corry will join skipper Martin Johnson in the Leicester Legends XV, while France international flanker Betsen is the first name added to the Matt Hampson International Legends XV which will be led by World Cup winner Jason Robinson.
Louis and Matt will add to their squads in coming weeks, with more legendary names to be confirmed soon.
Deacon’s benefit committee have invited many of the names he has shared a Tigers dressing room with in more than a decade of service to the club and the Tigers second-rower is looking forward to a big event in the calendar.
“It’ll be great to see these guys back in Leicester colours and back out on the Welford Road pitch,” says Deacon.
“I know Matt has put a lot of invitations out and wants a really strong squad, but we’ve got a lot of the Leicester lads ready too and they always want to win at Welford Road!”
Hampson is gaining support from throughout the UK and further afield, with Betsen already committed to the Welford Road fixture.
“We’ve got some great names sorted and we’re waiting for a few more to confirm before we can announce the squad, but it should be a great day,” says Matt.
