His Tigers team-mates Dan Cole, Toby Flood, Geoff Parling, Ben Youngs and Tom Youngs remain in the 23-man England squad which will meet at Pennyhill Park ahead of the clash with Scotland at Twickenham (4pm kick-off, live on BBC One).
Manu Tuilagi (Leicester Tigers) will remain with the squad for treatment on his ankle. Waldrom is available for selection for Tigers’ LV= Cup game away to Scarlets on Sunday (1pm kick-off).
England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: “We’ve had to make some tough calls with a lot of competition for places.
“The players’ attitude and application in training has been first rate and we know those going back to their clubs and playing in the LV= Cup will be pushing hard for contention for the Ireland match.”
