More than 400 supporters, sponsors and staff members joined Leicester Tigers players at Welford Road on Tuesday night for Leicestershire's largest pub quiz.

The Try Tuesdays Pub Quiz saw 50 teams test their knowledge in rounds of General Knowledge, Guess the Advert and Music as well as Movie Pictionary drawn by some of the Tigers squad and All Things Tigers.

Jordan Crane captained the players’ team which included Kieran Brookes, George Ford, Andy Forsyth, Scott Hamilton, Wessel Jooste, Michael Noone, Ed Slater, Adam Thompstone and Micky Young. The Tigers team finished fourth.

The winning team were Last Year’s Winners, who successfully defended their trophy after walking away with it at last year’s Try Tuesdays Pub Quiz. The best team name went to Sex, Drugs, Ruck and Maul while Last Try won the wooden spoon.

The evening was supported by Everards, who provided a free pint of Tiger Bitter, the Official Beer of Leicester Tigers, for participants. And Louis Deacon popped down to hand out samples of Tiger Green Bullet, a special celebratory ale brewed by Everards for the Louis Deacon Benefit Year.

CDKL5 UK is one of the charities supported by Deacon’s Benefit Year and they held a raffle during the evening with prizes including artwork signed by the players from the Movie Pictionary round, a pair of George Chuter’s boots and a pair of Craig Newby’s boots. The evening raised more than £700.

The next Try Tuesday’s event is the End of Season Awards Night on Tuesday, April 30. More information and tickets to the event are available by clicking here
