There is still time to take part in a Tigers Rugby Camp this half-term and work on your skills with the help of Tigers coaches and players.

Tigers take their renowned Rugby Camps to Burton RFC and Trent College in Nottingham next week, and there will be a visit from some of the first-team squad as well.

Scrum-half Micky Young and back rower Michael Noone will visit the camp at Burton RFC, which runs from Monday to Wednesday (February 18-21). Props Fraser Balmain and Jonny Harris, who have come through the Tigers Academy to play for the first team, will drop in at the Trent College camp (February 21-22). The players will offer their expert tips and take part in a Q&A.

There is still time to book a place on one of next week’s camps through the ticket office on 0844 856 1880 (option two) or online by clicking here

Tigers have been running Rugby Camps at Oakham RFC, Ashby RFC and in Malaysia this week.

More than 100 young players from the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur were put through their paces by coaches including Craig Newby, Glenn Gelderbloom and Troy Thacker during Tigers’ first camp in Asia.

And closer to home, Richard Thorpe dropped in at the Oakham camp and there was a visit from the East Midlands Today TV cameras, who were there to interview lead coach Ian ‘Dosser’ Smith. The young players at the Ashby camp were treated to a visit by Kieran Brookes and Matt Cornwell.

Supported by energy efficiency specialists Mark Group, Tigers Rugby Camps give players who are playing contact rugby in U9s to U16s age groups the chance to experience top-quality rugby coaching in a professional environment.

Each player on a Tigers Rugby Camp can expect to play up to five hours of rugby each day. All coaching is provided by our Tigers community coaching team alongside some of Tigers top senior academy coaches and players past and present.

They receive a match ticket to an allocated home game, hot lunch and drinks each day, a Tigers Rugby Camp T-short, rugby ball and drinks bottle and free membership to the Junior Tigers Club and the Crusha Cru.
