Waldrom returns from England training squad

Leicester Tigers back-rower Thomas Waldrom is among the 10 players released back to Aviva Premiership clubs from the England squad this week.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has kept the rest of his squd together until Thursday and will then reconvene next Monday ahead of the Six Nations match against Italy.

Players will be released back to their clubs today ahead of Aviva Premiership Round 17 this weekend:

Owen Farrell (Saracens), Ben Morgan (Gloucester Rugby) and Billy Vunipola (London Wasps) will continue their recovery at Pennyhill Park under a joint club-England medical programme.

Head coach Lancaster said: “This week is partly about recharging our batteries after a tough Test match but we trained well today and are in pretty good shape. Owen is still recovering from his tight quad muscle and probably won't train this week but we are fortunate to have Toby Flood who came on and did well against France.”
