Sale will come here to attack, says Tait

Mathew Tait expects an open and attacking clash when Sale Sharks arrive at Welford Road this Saturday (3pm) - despite the importance of the game at both ends of the Aviva Premiership table.

Tigers are third in the Aviva Premiership and chasing the top two finish that will secure a home semi-final, while Sale are battling for their lives at the wrong end of the table after hitting form in recent weeks.

Tait enjoyed three seasons at Sale and is set to play against his former club for the first time since his move to Leicester.

And he says: “I think back to how Sale played last year when they came down here and threw it around a lot and I think it will be similar this year.

“When Danny Cipriani plays it’s not really in his nature to sit back. They need wins and to get them you have to play with that ambition.

"We need to make sure we focus on our own game. We have a couple of weeks off after this so we want to go into it with a good result."

Saturday's clash is Tigers' only home game during March. Tickets are available now from the ticket office, on 0844 856 1880 and online by clicking here
