Leicester Tigers entered their two week break from Aviva Premiership Rugby by setting a series of season's best in Saturday's win against Sale Sharks.

The 48-10 victory in Round 17 was the most points scored by a team in any game during this season’s Aviva Premiership. It was also the biggest home win and the biggest winning margin of the competition so far.

Fly-half George Ford enjoyed a 100 per cent record with the boot and his six conversions were also a season’s best in the league. It beat the previous best of five conversions held jointly by Toby Flood (v London Welsh on September 2) and Nick Evans (v London Welsh on September 7).

Richard Cockerill’s men are now the leading try scorers in this season’s Aviva Premiership. Their six tries on Saturday took the total for the 2012/13 campaign to 40, one more than Harlequins and Exeter Chiefs.

Tigers are also the second leading points scorers, have conceded the second fewest number of tries, have the second meanest defence in terms of points conceded and have the second best points difference. Click here for the Aviva Premiership table.
