Tigers nominated for England award

Dan Cole, Geoff Parling and Manu Tuilagi are in the running to be named England's Six Nations Player of the Tournament.

The Leicester Tigers trio are on a six-man shortlist put together by Canterbury, the official team kit partner of the England Rugby team and the official kit supplier to the Leicester Tigers.

Cole, Parling and Tuilagi are joined on the list by Chris Robshaw (Harlequins), Owen Farrell (Saracens) and Tom Wood (Northampton Saints).

The shortlist has been created after careful analysis of England’s performances in the Six Nations.

The winning player will receive Canterbury kit to donate to a local club team of their choice., with Cole, Parling and Tuilagi choosing to support their junior clubs South Leicester, Stockton and Hinckley respectively.

Chris Stephenson, Canterbury chief executive, said: “England stand a great chance of winning the RBS 6 Nations and Canterbury want to celebrate the stand out performances in the team that are helping to make this possible.”
