Tigers support Red Nose Day

Figure image
Leicester Tigers and Premiership Rugby are giving their support to Red Nose Day this Friday with a fundraising internet auction.

Premiership Rugby is a partner of Red Nose Day and the Premiership Rugby clubs are coming together to help Comic Relief celebrate its 25th anniversary.

A signed Tigers shirt is one of lots up for auction on eBay, as well as a 2012 Aviva Premiership Final matchball signed by the Tigers squad and a Tigers shirt signed by legends Geordan Murphy and Ben Kay. There is also a Land Rover driving day with three Premiership Rugby players and a cricket bat signed by former England captain Andrew Strauss up for grabs.

Some of the money raised could help towards the expansion of Hitz, a programme which aims to turn around the lives of young people at risk of anti-social behaviour and exclusion from school.

As well as introducing young people to tag, touch and contact rugby, Hitz also helps to build their confidence and respect.
