No Grand Slam for beaten England

England missed out on a Grand Slam and an RBS 6 Nations title with defeat by Wales in Cardiff on Saturday.

Welsh wing Alex Cuthbert scored two second-half tries in a record 30-3 victory for the hosts which also clinched the title.
England trailed 9-3 at half-time as kicks from Leigh Halfpenny and Owen Farrell got on the scoreboard.

But in the second half Wales pulled away as Halfpenny added a fourth penalty, then Cuthbert dotted down his first score. Dan Biggar added a drop goal before Cuthbert raced in for his second, with Halfpenny adding the conversion. The final points of the afternoon came from a Biggar penalty nine minutes from full-time.

Six Leicester Tigers players were included in the starting line-up, with Tom Youngs, Dan Cole, Geoff Parling and Tom Croft in the forward pack, and Ben Youngs and Manu Tuilagi in the backline. Toby Flood was a second-half replacement and took England closest to the tryline with a late dart which ended just five metres from the whitewash.
